Merijn Zeeman no longer needs to manage Jumbo-Visma from home | Tour de France

Merijn Zeeman will assist Jumbo-Visma again from France from the second rest day in the Tour de France. The sporting director of the Dutch team has fully recovered from corona and will therefore get into the car tomorrow to rejoin the group.

Just before the Tour, Zeeman tested positive for corona. He therefore sent the team home from behind the computer for the first week. There he saw Wout van Aert already win two stages and get the green jersey firmly around his shoulders. In the standings, Jonas Vingegaard is the main challenger to leader Tadej Pogacar in second place.

In the Tour de France today the ninth stage is on the program, a mountain stage over almost 193 kilometers from Aigle to Ch√Ętel les portes du Soleil. We may have a battle on three fronts.
