In London, Tottenham had to struggle for his second three-pointer of the season. Against Wolverhampton, with Leander Dendoncker on the field for half an hour, one goal from Harry Kane was enough to keep the three points at home. It is Kane’s 250th goal for Tottenham, which jumps (briefly) to the top spot in the Premier League.
Kane’s goal is not only his 250th for Tottenham, it is also his 185th for the club in the Premier League. He is now the player with the most PL goals for a single club in history. Sergio Aguero made 184 for Manchester City.
Tottenham certainly did not steal the win against Wolverhampton. It was only in the second half that the boys of trainer Conte really came under steam, with a header against the crossbar by Kane and a shot by Son against the post.
But it didn’t take long for Kane to succeed. From a corner by addition Perisic, the England international headed the ball against the ropes from close range.
With 7 out of 9, the start of the season is excellent for Tottenham, only Arsenal and Manchester City can still talk about the London club.
