The 28-year-old Milik played at Ajax from 2014 to 2016. In 2016 he moved to Napoli. Before his period in Amsterdam, he played for the German clubs Bayer Leverkusen and Augsburg, among others.
Juventus, which has 4 points after two rounds in the Serie A, can definitively take over Milik after a season for an amount of 7 million euros plus bonuses.

Former Willem II player Alexander Isak to England for almost 70 million euros
4.07 pm: Former Willem II player Alexander Isak is reportedly moving to Newcastle United for 68 million euros. The 22-year-old Swede comes over from Real Sociedad.
In the English city, the attacker meets Sven Botman, among others. The Dutchman, who received his training at Ajax, was taken over from the French Lille this summer for about 40 million euros.
Vitesse gets Polish international who already made his debut as a professional on 15th
2:01 pm: Vitesse has strengthened itself on a rental basis with Kacper Kozlowski. The 18-year-old Polish international is rented from Brighton & Hove Albion for the rest of the season
“I look forward to wearing the Vitesse shirt and will do so with pride. After a number of pleasant conversations I got a very positive feeling at this club. I hope to be able to help the team as best as possible this season and to develop myself as much as possible in the meantime. I have the feeling that the Eredivisie, in particular Vitesse, is the right place for that.”
Kozlowski made his debut as a player for Pogoń Szczecin at the highest level at the age of 15 (and 215 days). In January 2022, he was picked up by Premier League club Brighton. He is still under contract until mid-2026. In the second half of last season, he already played on a rental basis for the Belgian club Union Sint-Gillis.
Kozlowski made his debut at the European Championship last year at the age of 17 years and 164 days in the Poland national team. He thus became the youngest player ever to play in a European final.

Barcelona rent redundant defender Umtiti to Lecce
11:42 a.m.: FC Barcelona has said goodbye to Samuel Umtiti. The Spanish club is renting the French defender for a year to Lecce, which was promoted to Serie A last season. The Italian club has not negotiated an option to buy.
At the beginning of this year, Umtiti extended his contract with Barcelona for three years until the summer of 2026, but was satisfied with a lower salary. The Frenchman is not in the plans of trainer Xavi at Camp Nou. The 28-year-old defender, who came over from Olympique Lyon in 2016 for around 25 million euros, only played one game in La Liga last season. Umtiti had been injured many times in recent years.
The defender became champion twice with Barcelona (2018 and 2019) and also won the Spanish Cup three times. Umtiti was part of France’s national team that won the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
By renting out the defender, Barcelona is making some room in the salary budget. The club is still unable to register acquisition Jules Koundé – compatriot of Umtiti – with the organization of La Liga, because Barcelona currently does not have the financial space for this.

Genoa welcomes ‘superhero’ Strootman
8.21 pm: Kevin Strootman returns to the Italian football club Genoa, which plays in the second professional division in Italy (Serie B). The 32-year-old midfielder has played there for a while on a rental basis. He is now again on loan from his French employer Olympique Marseille.
Marseille, the club that Strootman took over from AS Roma for 25 million euros, loaned him to Cagliari last season. The 46-time international, who played football in the Netherlands for Sparta Rotterdam, FC Utrecht and PSV, did not play often due to a knee injury.
Genoa is happy with Strootman’s return. ‘He is back’ was the text on Twitter with a photo of the football player in a kind of superhero suit.
Bayern Munich hands over German midfielder Fein to Excelsior
7:17 PM: Excelsior Rotterdam has signed German midfielder Adrian Fein for two seasons with the option of a third year. He comes from the German top club Bayern Munich and was on trial at the Eredivisie club for a few days last week. “Both sides liked it so much that Fein is now definitively joining Excelsior Rotterdam,” the club said.
Fein, 23, has been playing for Bayern Munich since he was eight. He was never able to break through to the main squad and was rented out five times in between, including to PSV in the 2020-2021 season. “Unfortunately I didn’t play many matches there, but I really liked the Eredivisie. When I heard about Excelsior’s interest, I was therefore immediately enthusiastic,” says Fein on the website of the Rotterdammers. “In the Netherlands it’s really about playing football and fitting young players into a team. I am a footballing midfielder and seeing how Excelsior wants to build up and play, it suits me very well.”
FC Emmen captures keeper Van der Hart for this season
09:13 o’clock FC Emmen has contracted keeper Mickey van der Hart. The 28-year-old goalkeeper has signed until the end of this season.
Van der Hart played in Poland in recent years, for Lech Poznan. Before that he played for PEC Zwolle, Go Ahead Eagles and Ajax. He went through the youth academy at the latter club.
During the first matches of this season, the German Eric Oelschlägel was under the bar at FC Emmen, which has 4 points after three matches.
Willem II gets Wessel Dammers back
08:40 am Willem II again takes care of a player who has fallen out of favor with FC Groningen. After Michael de Leeuw, defender Wessel Dammers has also joined the selection of the Tilburg club, which made an unconvincing start in the Eerste Divisie with four points from three matches.
The 27-year-old Dammers already moved to the Tilburg club during the winter break last season. Willem II rented him from FC Groningen for six months with an option to buy. If he kept his place in the Eredivisie, Willem II should have taken that option. It did not work. And so Dammers started the preparation at FC Groningen. Like De Leeuw, he was not in the plans of trainer Frank Wormuth.
Dammers will sign in Tilburg until 2025.
TUESDAY 23 AUGUST
West Ham United to sign Emerson from Chelsea
9.09 pm: Italian football international Emerson Palmieri moves from Chelsea to West Ham United within London. The 28-year-old left-back signed a four-year contract with manager David Moyes’s club. Emerson had no prospect of playing time at Chelsea.
The English top club took over the Brazilian-born at the beginning of 2018 for around 30 million euros from AS Roma. Emerson won the Europa League with Chelsea in 2019 and the Champions League two years later. The ‘Blues’ leased the 27-time international of Italy last season to the French club Olympique Lyon from trainer Peter Bosz. He is the seventh signing this summer from West Ham, who finished seventh in the Premier League last season.
Emerson had a base place with Italy in the European Championship final against England last year. However, the team of national coach Roberto Mancini did not qualify for the World Cup at the end of this year in Qatar.
Oulad M’hand leased by Arsenal to rent
7:58 pm: Salah-Eddine Oulad M’hand will play for Hull City on a rental basis, which has also negotiated an option to buy. The Dutch youth international is under contract with Arsenal, where he is not yet mature enough for the first.
At Hull City, the current number six of the Champions, the 19-year-old midfielder will play under manager Shota Averladze.

Defender Boyata leaves Hertha BSC for Club Brugge
7:27 PM: Dedryck Boyata leaves Hertha BSC for Club Brugge. The 31-year-old defender wants to join his new club in Belgium’s selection for the World Cup in Qatar.
Boyata could count on little playing time at the club from Berlin. The 31-time international has never played in the highest Belgian football class. He left for Manchester City at the age of 15 and later also played for Bolton, FC Twente and Celtic.

Top scorer Vardy extends contract with Leicester City
11:28 am Jamie Vardy has extended his contract with English football club Leicester City for a year. The 35-year-old striker is now with the Premier League team until the summer of 2024. Vardy has played for Leicester City since 2012 and helped the club to the English title with 24 goals in the 2015-2016 season, two years after promotion to the Premier League.
The 26-time English international (seven goals) has already scored a total of 164 goals for the ‘Foxes’. In the past two seasons, Vardy has scored 15 goals in the Premier League. “When I heard that the club wanted to extend my contract, there was only one thing that could happen: sign it. This was an easy decision,” Vardy said. “I’ve been here for so long that I feel like part of the furniture. My legs still feel good and I will continue to help this club through goals and assists. That is my job here.”
Vardy is still waiting for his first goal this season. He did not score in the first two competition matches
